L's Due Date!

The day before my due date
Well, here we are, my due date! And still no sign of L coming to join us quite yet. K has started getting back on schedule, though he's still pretty stuffy from a bad cold. This is very much like the peace before the storm!

Several weeks ago, I was really hoping L would come early, or at least on time. Now, though, I've had a revelation! Life will never be as easy as it is now ever again! I only have one toddler to chase and I don't have many pregnancy pains to get in the way. Once L is born, I'll have a toddler to chase, a newborn to care for and feed around the clock, and a recovering postpartum body! I'm eager to welcome L into the world, but I have a renewed sense of patience that I definitely didn't have a little over a year ago when K was overdue.

The newest thing K does is walking around with his finger in his belly button. If he's wearing a shirt, he'll pull it up, find his belly button, and then walk around with his finger under his shirt. I haven't been able to get any pictures of this yet, but once I do, I'll definitely put it up!

Hopefully, it won't be too much longer before L comes... I'll keep you posted!

K loves to read! Here he is after
"reading" a Dr. Seuss book
out loud to me.

2014 Review and a Happy 2015!

Can it really be 2015 already? I guess every year seems to go by faster, but this last year really disappeared. Then again, so much has happened in the last year!

2014 Accomplishments:
- Kirkland turned one, has eight teeth, and started walking!
- We bought our very first house and absolutely love it (pics to come soon)
- Baby number two was announced with a January due date!

2015 to come:
- Still waiting on Lucas to make his big debut
- Painting the bedrooms and laundry room in our home
- Lots of other things, I'm sure, but Lucas' impending arrival trumps everything. ;)

Kirkland still has no idea about what's coming and I'm really not sure how he'll handle it. So glad Nana will be able to come down and help out!

That's all for now. Hopefully the next post brings exciting news about Lucas!
